A DOT! (Part 4 of 4)

June 16, 2025 by Carl Hanson

When we step back and view the whole picture of life from God’s perspective, we see it is those who continue faithful to Him who are the truly blessed. The wicked may enjoy themselves for a season, but God’s children will have joy for an eternity! Asaph found comfort in the reality of God’s presence and mindfulness of humanity.

Asaph’s conclusion was expressed in these words:

“(23) Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. (24) You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. (25) Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. (26) My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (27) For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. (28) But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the LORD God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” (Psalm 73:23-28 ESV)

God is the source of our greatest security! There is great comfort in knowing He is ever present with us. It is God Who provides the counsel needed for the varied activities of life. And it is He Who will one day bring us into His realm of eternal glory. Yes, we may be keenly aware of the limitations and failings of the flesh. Still, we must acknowledge the temporary nature of this realm in relation to the eternal. Through it all, God will be our source of strength.

Remember, God has the full spectrum of life in view. (i.e. Isaiah 46:10) Trust Him! Sense the goodness of living and walking close to Him. Let us make God our refuge. Let us also proclaim to others His great works and the difference He has made in our life. Nothing this world offers can compare to the realities associated with our relationship with God. His faithfulness to His promises has been painted in the colors of the rainbow, with the blood on the cross, and the brilliance of our Lord’s resurrection. May we keep the picture of God’s faithfulness before our eyes.

Have a great day DWELLING IN GOD’S PORTRAIT OF PEACE!

Our Mission

Truth For Teens was originally a publication with a circulation of over 500 to youth throughout the United States.  This was possible because a group of men and women felt a need to provide healthy, helpful information to our youth as they deal with daily situations.

That need has not changed. The Central church of Christ at Pflugerville, Texas has decided to oversee this continuing, important ministry with this website and publication of a regular newsletter available to all teens around the world. We want the truth of God to be available as the “truth for teens” as well!
