Life is filled with barriers. Along life’s path we encounter obstacles. Such can at times cause us to wonder about the way on which we are traveling. Have we been stopped? Is there a way around or over? Do we ever feel there is no solution except to turn around? Though we believe in God and His Sovereign ability to work in mighty ways, do we stand unsure of what He might do?
Someone has noted, “God didn’t make the Red Sea disappear, He made a way through it. Trust and keep going.” Yes, in the exodus from Egypt, the Israelites came to the sea, and knowing the Egyptians army had come out against them they thought they were doomed. (Exodus 14:9-13) A way for them was provided through the sea. (Exodus 14:21-22) Certainly it was not what they expected, but it was the way God provided.
A number of years ago I was introduced to the hymn “God Will Make A Way” by Don Moen (1990). The words of this short hymn read:
“God will make a way Where there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me;
He will be my guide, Hold me closely to His side,
With love and strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way.”
Solomon urged. . .
“(5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (6) In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)
God is fully able to get us from where we are to where He wants us if we are willing to trust and follow His guidance. He can make a way even through life’s seeming barriers. May we continue following His Divine direction!
Have a great day TRUSTING GOD’S ABILITY TO DELIVER AND DIRECT!
