Today’s focus is a simple, yet significant focus to which we would each do well to give some thoughtful and prayerful consideration.
Responding to some who continued to question Jesus as to Who He was (is), we read. . .
“(25) Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, (26) but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. (27) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:25-27 ESV)
Despite verbal claims of a Christ connection, what is made evident by our life focus? Three questions to prayerfully consider in connection with Jesus’ statement are:
[1] Am I listening to His voice or do others of the world have my ear? What do the actions of my life truly reflect?
[2] Am I known as His or am I living as being among the flock of another? What does the focus of my life activities and prioritization of my time truly reveal?
[3] Am I following Him or turning to follow a different pathway? What does the direction of my life truly show?
More important than knowing about Jesus is being in the relationship so as to be known by Him as one of His! May it truly be so of us so we can experience the comfort and safety of being in the Good Shepherd’s loving care!
Have a great day LIVING AS HIS!
