In my years of ministry, while trying to fulfill my role the best I can, I have found brothers and sisters doing many things behind my back. Behind my back brethren have stepped forward and taken care of needs I had not been made aware of. Behind my back, brothers and sisters have encouraged and uplifted others of whom I was unaware needed encouragement. Behind my back my reputation has been defended and upheld when my actions or words unknowingly missed their mark. Behind my back, there have been those who have constantly prayed for me and my family for the strength and wisdom needed in ongoing ministry. Yes, behind my back many encouraging and God glorifying things have happened; many of which I might never know, but can know they have occurred.
Peter urged. . .
“(10) As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: (11) whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies — in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 4:10-11 ESV)
I am greatly encouraged and so thankful for all those who serve behind my back. May God keep me mindful that I am not alone, but am only another servant among many!
Have a great day ENCOURAGED BY THE GOOD SERVICE OF OTHERS!
Carl
