Do we believe that God is all knowing; that He is aware of all the goes on within us and around us? (i.e. Hebrews 4:13) Do we believe that God is eternal and therefore does not merely have the present in view, but the whole of our life within His focus? (i.e. Isaiah 46:9-10) Do we believe that the Creator of all the earth did so to provide a suitable place for us to live the life of the flesh and that He is fully able to bring us through to ultimately share an eternal existence with Him in Heaven? (i.e. 2 Timothy 4:18) Knowing God’s power and the blessings He has and will provide, does the way we live our life reveal a trust resting solidly in Him?
As David looked back at past provision of God (Psalm 40:1-3), he went on to state. . .
“(4) Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! (5) You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.” (Psalm 40:4-5 ESV)
Regardless of what we are facing or what may be going on around us presently, are we continuing to trustingly look to God; trusting both in the wisdom of His timing and His faithfulness to work all things out according in His sovereign way? Looking back on His track record, are we trusting Him to sustain us presently and for the future? Not only are there future blessings we can trust the Lord to provide, in trusting Him in the present we can experience the present blessings of joy and peace knowing our ultimate safety in His Divine hands.
As Paul declared. . .
“(31) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (32) He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32 ESV)
Let us continue trusting that the One Who has given us the best — His own Son for our eternal redemption — will continue to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28) because He truly has our best in mind. As the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17), may our trust remain steadfast in Him!
Have a great day BLESSED BY THE BEST!
