When we find ourselves pondering how things in this world are going and lament over those who continue turning away from the direction of God, what should we do? When we see others stubbornly refusing to listen to the message of God as we try to share the truth, what should we do? When we see the results of refusing to live in accordance with God’s Will and learning from it is not taking place, what should we do? It can all be so discouraging. We can feel our own striving to live life God’s way is ineffective. We can begin to feel that all is lost. However, despite such going on all around us, let us continue lifting our eyes upward to God, and — like the prophet Jeremiah in the middle of his own lamentation over the judgement that had come upon the nation of his day — call to mind and retain hope (Lamentations 3:21). . .
“(22) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; (23) they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (24) “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”” (Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV)
Each day God brings — in which we rise and step into — is a reminder of God’s patience and the opportunity to respond to His merciful hope. In spite of the faithlessness in this world, God remains faithful. (2 Timothy 2:13) Therefore, may our hope and trust continue abiding in Him regardless of the chaos around us!
Have a great day IN THE EMBRACE OF GOD’S STEADFAST LOVE!
