Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such as one. . .
“who does not slander with his tongue. . .” (Psalm 15:3a ESV)
This seems to follow well after the mention of the truthful heart. When our tongue begins to wag, what is the result? Are we busy about tearing others down or building them up? Are we a destroyer of reputations (slandering those around us) or are we a supporter and encourager? Are we a “back-biter” or one known for giving a needed verbal “pat on the back”?
May we be mindful of the words we use regarding the lives of others. Remember, the tongue has both the power to build up or destroy. May we use it to the glory of God and the benefit of those around us!
Have a great day SPREADING ENCOURAGEMENT!
Carl
