Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such as one who. . .
“. . .nor takes up a reproach against his friend;” (Psalm 15:3c ESV)
When we speak of others, what kind of words do we cast out and spread abroad? Do we spread insult and innuendo bringing reproach upon the name of our fellowman? Do we speak ill-will of others? Are we always quick to see the bad in others? Or are we slow to jump to conclusions and quick to see the good in the lives of those around us? Do we join in the gossip or are we willing to nip rumors in the bud and stand up for others, giving them the benefit of the doubt?
May we remember that we will be judged in the way we judge others. (note Matthew 7:2) May we, therefore, watch how we talk about others!
Have a great day SPEAKING WHAT BENEFITS OTHERS.
Carl
