Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such as one. . .
“in whose eyes a vile person is despised, . . .” (Psalm 15:4a ESV)
The vile and the wicked are not to be our heroes. Such are not to be envied or looked up to. These are not the ones with whom we are to cast our lot in life.
Do we want to be where God is? Then do we love the things God loves or that of which the world is drawn toward? If our affections are in the wrong place, why do we think we would enjoy being where God is? There are some things God views as an abomination. (note Proverbs 6:16-19) It is the very love of what God despises that may separate us from Him. (note 1 John 2:15-17)
If we love the things God loves, our affections will be properly focused, and we will be drawn closer in harmony with His Way and Will. May we live with our affections in harmony with God’s focus!
Have a great day LOVING THE THINGS OF GOD!
Carl
