Capitulation is the act of surrendering or giving in to another. It is defined as “the action of surrendering or ceasing to resist an opponent or demand.” Sometimes it is the choice that may be made for the sake of a relationship as one’s personal preference is set aside. Though this may not appear beneficial in all situations of life in this world, it is what brings the blessing when it is our willingness toward God.
Solomon urged. . .
“ (5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (6) In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)
This is the picture of a duly surrendered life to the Divine Direction we need. Trust wholeheartedly! Lean all mindedly! Walk fully acknowledging His Sovereign wisdom for direction on life’s journey! Though it may be a pathway of ups and downs and curves, it ultimately leads straight to Him and the eternity prepared for those who willingly surrender to following in His Way. May this remain the wisdom for every day He provides!
