Some people dabble at this and dabble at that in life while seeming to not learn much in the process. In a seeming experiment on life — in searching to learn by personally trying to experience as much variation as possible — the right conclusion is not always met. The way some approach life leaves them with a sense of it all being meaningless or vanity. (i.e. Ecclesiastes 1:2 & 14) And there are those who are ever learning while yet being unable to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:7) What marks our search and the conclusion we are being drawn toward.
As we acknowledge life being too short to make all the mistakes ourselves, let us wisely learn from the mistakes of others. And, above all, let us look to God for the wisdom we need to discern what is truly the right conclusion. As we consider Solomon’s examination or investigation of life (i.e. Ecclesiastes 1:12-14, 17; 7:25; 9:1), there is much we can learn. Though he looked at life’s many facets in this world, he did so while still guiding his heart with wisdom. (Ecclesiastes 2:3) Because of that he ultimately drew the focus to the proper conclusion as he stated. . .
“(13) The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. (14) For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 ESV)
May this be the conclusion we draw as we acknowledge life in this realm has a conclusion leading to an accounting before God. Seeking His Will is what will continue bringing meaningfulness to life presently and the assurance of eternal life to come! When it comes to the matters of life, what matters is the Will of the Author of it! Rather than approaching life as an experiment, may we continue seeking what is pleasing to God and so experience the meaningfulness of life lived His way!
Have a great day EXPERIENCING LIFE GOD’S WAY!
