In the opening of John’s second short letter, we read. . .
“(1) The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth, (2) because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:” (2 John 1-2 ESV)
History has revealed how societal norms change and shift over time. Looking around we see standards vary among individuals. We also observe the changing of ideologies. Due to this there are those who find themselves tossed about by one thing and then another. (i.e. Ephesians 4:14) And in the pursuit of learning many things, there are those who do so without being able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. (i.e. 2 Timothy 3:7) However, it is the truth of God that is as abiding and eternal as He is. And in Him is neither falsehood, nor lying. (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18) It is in loving the truth that salvation is found. (2 Thessalonians 2:10; 1 Timothy 2:4) Let us keep looking to the abiding truth of God. Keep listening. Keep following. Keep trusting. May we remain convicted by the truth to continue building our life on its stable foundation for God glorifying living presently and abiding hope for an eternity with Him!
Have a great day KNOWING THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE!
