What do I do? What do I choose? Which way shall I go? Life is filled with decisions of which some are easy while others are more difficult. We don’t have all the answers in and of ourselves. Sometimes we aren’t even asking the right questions. To feel a lack of wisdom in the face of some decisions is a good thing if it directs our focus more toward God Whose wisdom far exceeds that of humanity. (i.e. Isaiah 55:8-9; 1 Corinthians 1:25) In response to the question “what shall we do?” let us begin by turning to God with a willingness to do what He has declared for us to do.
This reminds me of what God declared through the prophet Micah where we read. . .
“(8) He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 ESV)
In our doing, here is a good beginning; willingly surrendering to doing what the Lord requires of us. A few years ago I made the statement: “The easiest decisions in life are those God has already made for me. Life is good surrendered to His Will and in His care.” [Carl Hanson 12/10/2012] Every time we read the Scriptures, we will do well to put what God has revealed into practice in our life. It is in the doing of this that blessing will be found. (i.e. James 1:25) It is not a matter of knowing the why of His Will, but possessing the willingness to accept it for the Divine Wisdom it is! Therefore, what God has clearly declared in His Word, may that be the decision in our life!
Have a great day DECIDEDLY DOING WHAT GOD HAS DECLARED!
Carl
