Sometimes people become so absorbed with themselves they fail to see what is going on around them. They are so focused on their own sphere of life they forget what else they should be involved in doing. Looking around us should remind us there is more to life than just us. That focus should also direct our attention upward toward God.
Though humanity lives in the midst of God’s glorious creation, how often is He ignored? Despite the provision of so many blessings vital to the sustaining of life — the air we breathe, the rains significant in so many ways, the right placement of planet earth in relation to the sun, etc. — how much of it all is seemingly taken for granted as humanity thinks so high and mighty of themselves. While the rest of God’s creation praises Him [note Psalm 148], so many get caught up in praising themselves and the feeble works of their hands.
David noted. . .
“(10) All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you!” (Psalm 145:10 ESV)
We are a work of God! That being the case, are we joining in with the rest of God’s works in thanking Him? As the rest of God’s creation praises Him by serving the function for which each aspect was created, let us do the same as we thank Him for having chosen to create us in His image. May we live true to that essence He designed us to possess!
Have a great day JOINING THE CHORUS OF GOD’S WORKS IN GIVING HIM THANKS!
