Consider a rocky plot of land overgrown with briers and weeds. Not a picturesque sight. However, cleared of debris and leveled off, it can become a suitable place on which even a mansion can be built. In consideration of life, it has been said, “Regardless of your lot in life, you can build something beautiful on it.” (Zig Ziglar)
Perhaps we are struck by the contrast between those who seem to have been able to make a life from little while others have struggled to make a good life out of much. Regardless of the little or much from which one might begin to build their life; it is wisdom in the building that is the key. It is not necessarily what marks one’s lot in life at birth, but what is done from there that makes the difference.
Writing to Christians at Colossae, Paul urged. . .
“(6) Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, (7) rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7 ESV)
Regardless of our lot in life, it is in being built up in Christ that our life is enhanced with a godly beauty in which He takes up residency by His Spirit dwelling in us. (Romans 8:11) May we remain wise in building up our life on the foundation of Jesus and in continuing to allow Him to have His rightful place of sovereignty in our life!
Have a great day BEAUTIFULLY BUILT UP IN CHRIST!
