A psalm noted as a prayer of Moses begins. . .
“(1)Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. (2) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” (Psalm 90:1-2 ESV)
As I began reading this psalm as part of my morning reading, my mind began to think about God and the true blessing of His existence. Though it might be hard to wrap the mind around, before the existence of anything else, He was and He ever will be; He is from everlasting to everlasting. It is the way it is. Nothing I do can change that. But, then, why would I want to change it? Where change needs to take place is in me!
As it is His sphere in which I dwell, knowing God as I ought, why would I not rejoice that He is God and I am not? Duly acknowledging He has been and is and ever will be God from everlasting to everlasting, I find comfort and rejoice in Him remaining God to me now in the present. Let me rejoice in His Sovereignty and find comfort in His steadfast presence to ever be my guide through the short span of my life in this earthly realm. (Psalm 90:3-6 & 10) May I allow Him to teach me to number my days to have a heart of wisdom from Him in living them out. (Psalm 90:12) May I experience the satisfaction of His steadfast love and so rejoice all the days of my life (Psalm 90:14) as I look in hope for the eternity prepared in His everlasting presence.
God! From everlasting to everlasting! As He ever abides, may I abide in the sphere of His glory and grace as I continue surrendering more and more to His loving and Sovereign Will!
Have a great day REJOICING IN THE SPHERE OF THE EVERLASTING GOD!
Carl
