How we feel is how we feel, and feelings change depending on varying life moments. Therefore, as changeable as feelings might be, though they are an indicator of either desires and perceptions, they are not always a stable ground for direction. Based on feelings it is not always easy to make sense of some things in life, but when we retain our faith in God and His Word, we can trust in following His direction good will ultimately come. (i.e. Romans 8:28) Regardless of how we might feel, are we growing in focusing our faith there?
Solomon wrote. . .
“(9) The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9 ESV)
We may make plans based on our own desires, but as we do so, we must look to God for establishing the path before us. Many seem to act upon or move out boldly on feelings when there may be no true substance and are moved by sensation rather than Scripture. Trusting God to be right in all things, it is better to move boldly with faith in the guidance of His Will! Therefore, as we live with the desire to move through life in ways that are significant to ourselves and others around us, may we remain most desiring for God to establish the steps we take and so experience a sense of the deepest joy we could possess!
Have a great day WALKING AND WORKING ON THE SOLID GROUND OF GOD’S WILL!
Carl
