Though I have posted it before [a quote that has appeared with some variation of wording], the following is a good reminder of where things begin as we consider to where they lead. It has been said, “Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
As one leads to the other and relates to the character being developed, to what destiny are our thoughts, and what is generated from them, leading?
As David prayed. . .
“(14) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14 ESV)
Though these are familiar words, I don’t think we can focus on this need too much. It is a needed prayer for every day. Remaining mindful of our words and the thoughts on which our heart dwells as being such as is acceptable in the sight of God will serve to lead us toward the glorious eternal destiny He has prepared and desires for us. May it be our every waking prayer to nurture the ever awakened life (i.e. 1 Thessalonians 5:6) living to His glory and praise!
Have a great day SPEAKING AND THINKING IN ACCORD WITH OUR HEAVENLY DESTINY!
