Someone has said, “If we allow the Holy Spirit access to every area of our hearts, we will see God-sized results in every area of our lives.” With that posting was the inclusion of Proverbs 4:23 regarding the heart.
As Christians we must remember to whom we belong. As Paul noted. . .
“(19) Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, (20) for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV)
With the Spirit of God residing within us (note also Romans 8:9-11), is our life fully surrendered? Or is our life like a house in which access is permitted to certain rooms while others remain restricted? Let us understand that whatever part of our life we withhold is going to hinder the work God desires to do in and through us. May we therefore continue opening our life more fully to the fulness of blessing God desires to bring to us!
