We noted yesterday how someone has defined genuine faith as being “assuring, insuring, and enduring.” Is that what our faith has come to mean to us?
Considering the second of these three today, are we experiencing the insurance of faith?
Though our faith is based on some things we have not seen, it is not totally blind. God has set up “the trust” insuring us of what He has in store for us who believe and seek Him. There is no small print associated with God’s guarantees. God has not thrown in an “Acts of God” loophole, but rather desires our faith to be linked to His acts! He has made His Will clear and has provided the means of our salvation.
The promise to Abraham stands for us today as Paul noted in his letter to Christians at Rome where we read. . .
“(16)That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring — not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,” (Romans 4:16 ESV)
Paul also wrote. . .
“(13) In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, (14) who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14 ESV)
God’s track record reveals His trustworthiness in every way regarding every single one of His promises. We can hang our faith on that track record. May we continue doing so!
Have a great day with UNWAVERING FAITH IN GOD’S ETERNAL LIFE INSURANCE!
