Over the last thirteen days we have meditated on the here and now. With all this in mind we are ready to press on into the future. It does not matter how many days, years, decades, centuries, or millenniums may pass. Our Eternal Father — who is not bound by time — holds the key to a glorious eternity for those who are His.
What will the days of the future hold for us? We may not know the circumstances or events, but we can know we are safe in the hands of the One Who brings us each new day.
Here and now let us each decide where our true allegiance rests.
Here and now may we resolve to seek the Will of God.
Here and now may we be sure our affections are focused where they ought to be.
Remember Jesus’ words. . .
“(37) And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (38) This is the great and first commandment.” (Matthew 22:37-38 ESV)
This is what Jesus would have us to do so that our relationship with Him may transcend this realm on into eternity. With such a heart we will be open to the work God desires to accomplish in and through us.
The Hebrew writer’s prayer for those to whom he wrote was. . .
“(20) Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, (21) equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21 ESV)
I pray that you continue to feel a sense of blessing through your meditation on God’s Word. May you continue to focus on His Will and experience the blessed love and peace of God with each new day He provides.
Have a great day FOCUSED TOWARD A GRAND FUTURE!
