When Moses spoke in Genesis 1:10 that the “gathering together of the water called he seas,” how did he know there was more than one sea? In verse 9, God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place and it was so.” It is true, and is scientifically known, that the oceans are connected and have only one bed, just as God caused to happen. Moses was writing by the inspired words of God. Men in the Mosaic age believed that there was only one small ocean, but Moses had the inspired word of God and told of the “gathering together of the water called he seas.” From the time of the writing of Genesis through Revelations, the Scriptures, inspired by God, are true.
