There is much I do not know. There are questions for which I do not have the answers. There are things I have come to see for which I have no explanation. There are moments in life when I feel I do not have the words to provide an adequate description for others. Though I continue to learn more and there are many things I have come to understand, there remains that which, like Job (Job 40:4-5), brings my hand to my mouth. What can I say?
Despite the realization there is much I do not know, there is that which I do know that brings me great comfort and peace. I know God! No, I do not know the full mind of God. (note Romans 11:33-34) There remain things He has not revealed (i.e. Deuteronomy 29:29), but I fully embrace what He has. Looking at all that is around and above me (Psalm 19:1; Romans 1:20; Hebrews 11:3) and the great wisdom revealed through His Word (i.e. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 1:25), I cannot but help believe God exists and remains the rewarder of those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
As God stated through His prophet Jeremiah. . .
“(23) Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, (24) but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV)
There is no room to boast in anything of myself; my own abilities, strength, knowledge, wisdom, nor possessions I may have amassed. The great declaration and determining factor in confidently moving through life is knowing God is God and I am not! Knowing and living in a manner revealing I understand God was, is and ever will be, lifts from me the burden of matters with which He will deal as I entrust my life to His great steadfast love, justice, and righteousness. Whether I understand the fullness of His mind behind His Sovereign Will, knowing He is wholly righteous I know all His commands have my utmost good in mind. May every action of my life and word from my lips be evidence I do know God and trust Him to lead me toward the eternal inheritance reserved above!
Have a great day KNOWING THE KNOWING THAT MATTERS!
