Do we ever feel like we get ahead of ourselves; jumping into things before we have fully thought them through? Perhaps even more so we ought to consider when we have gotten ahead of God.
Recently someone shared a post reading: “I recently heard a statement that says, “In the morning when I awake, I ask God to get in my head before I do.” And that has been the best advice.”
What a wonderful way to begin each day. As I begin each day with morning Bible reading, I always find direction and wisdom to be taken to heart. In order for my life walk to be with God, I must keep His Word in my head; to keep it in mind through the varying activities and encounters of the day. To let Him get in my head before I do is the best way to move ahead through each day!
John warned. . .
“ (9) Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 9 ESV)
Is God’s Word and Will abiding in our head to lead us through each day? Moving ahead through the day with God’s Word in mind will aid in keeping us from getting ahead of it with our own thoughts and limited wisdom.
In one of David’s psalms we read. . .
“(4) Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. (5) Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5 ESV)
With God’s Word abiding in our head we will be properly led. May we keep ourselves out of the way as we strive to walk in His way!
Have a great day MOVING AHEAD WITH GOD’S WILL IN OUR HEAD!
