That in which we have the most interest is what we will tend to focus on and allow to influence us the most. As we consider this, is our interest focused on that which also pays the best interest for the investment of ourselves?
It has been said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” (Benjamin Franklin)
Though there is knowledge which can puff up (i.e. 1 Corinthians 8:1), there is knowledge which can build up and provide the greatest life results possible.
Writing to Timothy, Paul stated. . .
“(16) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (17) that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
There Paul noted multiple benefits which can be derived from the study of God’s Word! Whether it be needed reproof, correction of our life direction, or training in that which is utmost right, it is God’s Word which is able to move us in the direction of completeness and being suitably equipped for the work God desires to do in and through us. In the interest of our having the best life now and for being prepared for the glorious eternity to come, God has provided all that is necessary. (i.e. 2 Peter 1:3) May we therefore maintain interest in the knowledge God has provided, knowing it will pay the highest interest for our life; being profitable both presently and eternally.
Have a great day WITH ACCUMULATING INTEREST IN GOD’S WORD!
