It is far too easy to take relationships for granted. How often do we say “Thank you” for what others in our family are to us? How often do we say “Thank you” to friends or coworkers with whom we interact on a regular basis? How often do we say “Thank you” to our brothers and sisters in Christ when we assemble together, acknowledging the value of the relationship that encourages us and helps keep us on a right path? But above all, how much time do we spend thanking God, not just for what He has done, but also for what He is to us?
David stated. . .
“(17) I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” (Psalm 7:17 ESV)
God is righteous! He can be nothing else. He is not a wicked angry god whom we must seek to appease! All His commands are righteous. All His judgments are righteous. He is righteous in all He plans and does, desiring to bless us in the relationship. In His righteousness He has provided a record of His Will for our life, enabling us to know what His expectations are for the relationship. And In Christ He has provided the means of coming into a right relationship with Him. May we daily give Him the thanks He is due for the constancy He is to our life. Where would we be without Him?
Have a great day THANKFUL TO GOD HE IS GOD!
Carl
