Have you ever been a passenger in a car heading to a certain place that you have been to many times and asked the one who was driving, “Why are you going this way?” or state, “We don’t usually go this way.”
Life is a sort of a series of roads we travel. You have probably heard, “life is a journey.” During our journey, we sometimes go to good, pleasant places or sometimes bad, terrifying places in our lives. Sometimes we go there on our own and sometimes circumstances take us there. Sometimes we just go down a path and other times we ask for directions. Sometimes we get where we are going and sometimes we just get lost.
Faith is a lot like that. During our lifetimes, our faith may lead us down different roads depending on what that faith may be. Faith in the wrong things may lead us down what seems to be the smoothest highway only to find we end up in a bad place. Faith in the right things may lead us down the rockiest road filled with danger and toil but end up in the most glorious place you have ever seen.
No matter what road we take in this life, be sure that there are only two destinations!
