When we think about others, we come to realize we have acquaintances and we have friends; people we have some familiarity with and those whom we know more closely. And even among our friends, there are those we know more intimately than others.
In consideration of God’s knowledge of us, Jesus stated. . .
“(29) Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. (30) But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. (31) Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31 ESV)
Therein Jesus noted our Heavenly Father’s awareness and consideration of us. Even though the hairs on my head may not be as many as they once were, I still do not know their number, but Jesus indicated my Heavenly Father has that intimate familiarity with my being! He knows me and He knows you even better than we know ourselves! That reality ought to prompt us to be more willing to accept His guidance since in His awareness He knows best what we need!
In light of this, are we desiring to know God more intimately? Are we continuing to seek a greater understanding of His Will for equipping us to live in a manner pleasing to Him? It is in surrendering to the Lord’s Will that it is revealed we do know Him. (i.e. 1 John 2:3) Therefore, in view of the One Who can number the hairs on our head, let us learn from Him to wisely “number our days” (Psalm 90:12) by using each one to draw more intimately closer to Him and an understanding of His Will for our life!
Have a great day REMAINING NUMBERED AMONG GOD’S OWN!
