Consider this: “What most counts is not merely to live. But to live right.” (Socrates)
Does that not sound right? If we consider this in light of the Will of God, it is the manner in which we ought to live.
Jesus stated. . .
“(21) Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (22) On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ (23) And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:21-23 ESV)
Life is not to merely be about doing good things and simply attaching a “Jesus” label to them, but is to be about seeking to do the will of the Father. That is the very thing Jesus exemplified (i.e. John 4:34; 5:30; 6:38) and what we are to do as we walk in His steps. It is not about merely making a life for ourself, but about living life for the Lord and so gain true life in the process.
Remember how Paul expressed his focus where we read. . .
“(20) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
Christ had become Paul’s life and so he lived! May it truly be also with us, for in doing so we will be living right!
Have a great day LIVING RIGHT WITH GOD!
