LIGHT’S PRESENCE!

July 8, 2025 by Carl Hanson

Even with my eyes closed, I can still see light when it is present. That is because the brightness of light makes itself known. The thing behind light not being seeing is blindness. However, some who are physically blind are still able to sense light even if they cannot see colors or shapes. Therefore, the worst blindness to light is that of a spiritual sense.

In his second letter to the Christians at Corinth, Paul stated. . .

“(3) And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. (4) In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (5) For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. (6) For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-6 ESV)

Due to a heart unreceptive to the truth, blinding is allowed to take place. This is a work of the devil continuing in the world. The great deceiver leads away from the enlightenment the world needs; the light of direction and truth available to being seen. And in claiming to see, the rejection of the truth reveals the blindness that is there. (note John 9:40-41) Even today, this world which considers itself very enlightened has continued to aid in blinding others to the truth.

Brighter than the sun shining above us is the light of the gospel of the glory of the Son; Jesus Christ our Lord. May the light of His being the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) remain evident in our life so that the blind will begin to see and come into His light!

Have a great day LIVING TO AID THE BLIND!

Our Mission

Truth For Teens was originally a publication with a circulation of over 500 to youth throughout the United States.  This was possible because a group of men and women felt a need to provide healthy, helpful information to our youth as they deal with daily situations.

That need has not changed. The Central church of Christ at Pflugerville, Texas has decided to oversee this continuing, important ministry with this website and publication of a regular newsletter available to all teens around the world. We want the truth of God to be available as the “truth for teens” as well!
