Though life can be viewed as nothing but vanity (i.e. Ecclesiastes 1:2; 12:8) when not duly considered in relation to God and His purposes of life lived under Heaven, Solomon noted the right conclusion in stating. . .
“(13) The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. (14) For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 ESV)
The need is to retain the focus on a right relationship with God and live doing what He has asked us to do. It is in this way we make life meaningful by living it for the One Who gave us life and offers us the hope of it eternally in Christ.
On the occasion when Jesus and His disciples encountered a man born blind, He exhorted them. . .
“(4) We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. (5) As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:4-5 ESV)
In that light, I would submit to you that our meaning of life is found in the meaningful ways in which we bring the truth of God to light by living it out in practical ways and in working the works God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) Serving God and serving others in our day-to-day life is the most meaningful life we can live! As we begin each new day, may we ask God to open our eyes to the ways He can and will use us to add meaningfulness to life!
Have a great day GLORIFYING OUR LIFE GIVER BY BEING A MEANING OF LIFE!
