Who best to write the manual for properly understanding the makeup of a product and its best use than the designer and maker of it. Understanding all its components and the product’s intended purpose, the maker and manufacturer know the guidelines most helpful for its best and extended use. How much more so the Divine Creator of our being!
In Psalm 119 the psalmist stated. . .
“(73) Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.” (Psalm 119:73 ESV)
As our Maker, God knows best what we are suited for and the instructions needed for living a productive life. As David noted, we are truly wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) Knowing our Maker ought to draw our focus more toward Him for understanding the proper specifications for the living out of the life He has given us as we trust, according to His design, He knows us best!
As Paul noted in his letter to Christians at Ephesus. . .
“(10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 ESV)
As His workmanship — renewed and restored in Christ — we are equipped not merely for good works, but for God’s works; what He has had in mind in connection with the purpose of having created us. May we learn His Divine Directives associated with His Divine Purposes for our existence for this life and able to carry us on into the eternity prepared for us!
