There are jobs where non-skid or slip-proof shoes are required for safety reasons; that being the regulation or rule. Working around areas which could become slick from oily substances, water, or other fluids, can be hazardous and even deadly if appropriate footwear is not worn. Non-skid shoes are a matter of the sole; how designed and of what the sole of the shoe is made. However, the non-skid life is a matter of the heart with potential impact on the soul.
In one of David’s psalms he wrote. .
“(30) The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. (31) The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.” (Psalm 37:30-31 ESV)
When God’s law (commands, regulations, rules, and Sovereign Will as revealed through His Word) is acknowledged and taken to heart — thus making it the Sovereign rule of our life — our steps are protected from slipping backward or away from His Way and Will. When His Will becomes and remains our will, we will always move through life’s varied scenes more safely. May God’s Holy, Sovereign, and Wise Will remain on the throne of our heart to direct our steps for the safety of our life presently and our soul eternally!
Have a great day WALKING WITH A HEART FOR GOD’S WILL!
