There are some who have chosen to live off the grid with no running water or electricity. Such a lifestyle can have its challenges.
Sometimes people get frustrated when something is not coming on and then realize they forgot to plug in. Obviously, in order to powerup, a connection to a power source is necessary.
People sometimes find themselves run down because they consumed too much junk rather than foods which would have energized their body and mind. What is being taken in must be considered.
As all this is true in association with various aspects of living, it is also true regarding our spiritual life. There is the need to be plugged into the right information and power source to powerup the spiritual life! Are we plugged in so that the power of the truth and promises of God are energizing our life on a daily basis?
Paul declared. . .
“(16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:16-17 ESV)
The Gospel — the Good News of Jesus — is centered in the reality of His death, burial, and resurrection! (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) That is power Paul wanted to know (Philippians 3:10) and in his life connection to the Lord, he was energized for ministry as he expressed where we read. . .
“(28) Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. (29) For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” (Colossians 1:28-29 ESV)
Paul wasn’t engaged in powerful ministry by being off the grid on his own, but by being plugged into the power and will of Christ. Are we so connected? Are we daily seeking to draw from the greatest power source for living there is?
As Paul encouraged Christians at Ephesus. . .
“(20) Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, (21) to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV)
There is Divine power to tap into. It is power of endless supply. It will not be disrupted by weather but can be an uninterrupted source of power to sustain through life’s storms. May we remain plugged into the Lord and so remain energized for the work He can and will do in and through us!
Have a great day REMAINING ON GOD’S GRID!
