With all the activities in which we get involved it is often easy to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes we must confess we may have bitten off more than we can chew. We may also realize the need to say no to even good things because we can begin to spread ourselves too thinly. However, it is important for us to have our priorities right so that we make such decisions wisely. Nevertheless, even with the best planning there are times things come up that must be dealt with whether we feel we have the time or the strength to do so or not. It is through those times I am thankful it is not my own resources on which I have to rely.
Paul said it so well in view of his varied life experiences in declaring. . .
โ(12) I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. (13) I can do all things through him who strengthens me.โ (Philippians 4:12-13 ESV)
No wonder Paul was able to keep on keeping on. He was connected to the proper power source. And he encouraged others to do the same.
โ(10) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.โ (Ephesians 6:10 ESV)
May we remain connected to that sustaining power.
Have a great day STRENGTHENED IN THE LORD!
Carl
