What God gives is always good. That is because God is good. His gifts are in character with His essence of holiness and righteousness. Though we come to Him and submit to Him in humility and meekness, we are met by His willingness to empower our lives.
In urging him on in the ministry of the faith, Paul reminded Timothy. . .
“(7) for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)
The timidity we experience in life is of ourselves. It comes through the dependence on our own abilities and strength. However, God has given us a spirit of power. Are we depending upon that spirit? Are we utilizing God’s power so as to have the boldness needed in the face of falsehood and opposition to God’s Way? May we each day, in all situations, remember the spirit of power God has given us for living and serving in His Kingdom.
Have a great day DRIVEN BY GOD’S SPIRIT OF POWER!
Carl
