Before a runner runs, they do some stretching to prepare their body to run and endure the race. Before a musician even practices, they first take the time to thoroughly tune and do some warming up before launching into the music. Such is significant preparation before moving forward and true with many other activities. How much more so should we consider this in connection with each new day. How do we begin?
Consider the example of our Lord where we read. . .
“(35) And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.” (Mark 1:35 ESV)
Is that not the best way to begin each day? Rather than leaping from sleeping, let us remember to pray for the day! Ready the focus and ready the spirit with a reminder of the One Who will abide with us through the day’s varied scenes. In this way we will be prepared to press on in faith through it!
Have a great day WAKING UP AND LOOKING UP PREPARING TO GET UP!
