Have we ever had a life experience which caused us to wonder what it might be preparing us for? Someone has said, “What God is doing in your life right now might be preparing you for what you will face in the future.” (original source unknown) Through life’s varied moments, we are provided with the opportunity to learn and to become equipped and strengthened for what is to come.
As David pressed on in trusting God to sustain his life, he encouragingly acknowledged. . .
“(16) Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalm 139:16 ESV)
Though we may not fully know all that is ahead of us in this realm, God does. Where we are and what we are experiencing at this moment may be preparation time for what God will be leading us through as each day draws us closer to the eternity our Lord went to prepare for us. As we keep our focus trustingly fixed on Him, may we continue allowing God to do His preparatory work for all that lies ahead as we ultimately anticipate the eternity assured us in Christ!
