In a sermon delivered by our oldest son in Oregon this past Sunday, he emphasized how the focus on God should be that of Him being “More than the Many. Bigger than the Big. Mightier than the Mighty.”
The reality of all this is reflected in the encounter David had with Goliath revealing “there is a God in Israel” (1 Samuel 17:46) and that the battle was the Lord’s (1 Samuel 17:47), in the reality of Gideon’s few men sent to conquer the Midianites (Judges 7:7), and in the Sovereign power of God over all (Exodus 7-14; Psalm 20:7; Proverbs 21:31; 1 Corinthians 15:24). Do we believe this? Does our life reflect we do?
Paul encouraged. . .
“(31) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (32) He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32 ESV)
To understand this about God, may the manner in which we live our daily life truly reflect our faith in this reality?
Have a great day TRUSTING GOD’S SOVEREIGN POWER OVER ALL!
