In one of David’s psalms, we read. . .
“(5) O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you. (6) Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord God of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.” (Psalm 69:5-6 ESV)
What an honest acknowledgment as well as a righteous resolve. God is fully aware of our short comings and struggles. No sin is hidden from Him; our life is fully exposed to the One to Whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13) Therefore, let us honestly confess and receive the forgiveness and cleansing God is faithful to provide. (1 John 1:9) And in this acknowledgment and view of God’s willingness to forgive, let us also share David’s righteous resolve to seek God’s help that nothing we do would put other believers to shame or be brought to dishonor through us by any action of our life. With this as our earnest prayer and desire, let us strive to live as an encouraging example for one another as we sincerely seek to glorify God in all we do and say! In view of His faithfulness to forgive, may we exemplify faithfulness in seeking to exemplify His Sovereign Will!
Have a great day STRENGTHENED IN A RESOLVE FOR RIGHTEOUS LIVING!
