RIGHTEOUS SEED!

January 12, 2024 by Carl Hanson

What is the principal basis for living our life? What is the principal ground on which our choices are made? What we love most is what will most influence our life direction. Therefore, on what rests our mind or the affections of our heart? As we consider the seeds of our thoughts, let us understand whatever we have accepted as thoughtworthy is what will produce its fruit in our life.

It has been said, “To love truth is the principal part of human perfection in this world, and the seed-plot of all other virtues.” (John Locke, in a letter, Oct. 29, 1703)

Do we truly love the truth? Or have we been taken captive by that which is not truth? Jesus stated that by abiding in His word, we can know the truth and that truth will set us free. (John 8:31-32) Allowing the seed of The Word to germinate in our heart, by the power God has placed in it, godly fruit will result. With the truth of God planted in the seed-plot of our minds, all other aspects of our life will be drawn into harmony with it.

In light of human tendencies which do not lead to producing the righteousness of God (i.e. James 1:20), James urged. . .

“(21) Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1:21 ESV)

As God placed the power within each seed to germinate and produce according to its kind, so it is with the seed of His Word. Since God’s way is perfect and His word proves true (Psalm 18:30), may we continue receiving the truth of His perfect will which is able to continue moving us toward perfection in Christ!

Have a great day BEING TRUE TO THE TRUTH!

Our Mission

Truth For Teens was originally a publication with a circulation of over 500 to youth throughout the United States.  This was possible because a group of men and women felt a need to provide healthy, helpful information to our youth as they deal with daily situations.

That need has not changed. The Central church of Christ at Pflugerville, Texas has decided to oversee this continuing, important ministry with this website and publication of a regular newsletter available to all teens around the world. We want the truth of God to be available as the “truth for teens” as well!
