So many in the world stand against us as we strive to live according to God’s Will! So what! There are people who accuse us of being unloving because we refuse to set aside God’s standard for moral living. So what! We even find ourselves condemned at times for refusing to go with the flow of the majority. So what! Does that sound characteristic of a bad attitude toward others? Though we ought to be kind and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), with our focus toward God let us live mindful of the realities associated with life abiding with Him.
Paul encouragingly wrote. . .
“(31) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (32) He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? (33) Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. (34) Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died — more than that, who was raised –who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” (Romans 8:31-34 ESV)
Are we encouraged by that? If God is for us, so what if others are against us! Since it is God Who justifies us because we are His, so what if others are accusing! Since our Lord continues to intercede on our behalf, so what if others want to condemn us! It is not how the world views us, but how God does that matters in life. Praise God He has provided for our condemnation to be removed in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1) We can say “so what” because of He Who is for us and Who has provided in Christ all we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3) and so are obtaining the outcome of our faith, the salvation of our soul. (1 Peter 1:9) What shall we therefore say to those other things? “So what!”
Have a great day TRUSTING IN THE “WHAT” OF GOD!
