I reached to the top shelf to take from the best stock to then spread it to share it with others. This reflects the giving of the best rather than the cheaper or imitation spread. We live in a world of knockoffs, the generic, and the disingenuous, and the real is often not being experienced. However, it is not food I am talking about, but rather genuine love.

Paul complimented Christians at Thessalonica for their love in noting from where they had learned it where we read. . .
“(9) Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another, (10) for that indeed is what you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more,” (1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 ESV)
It was not from the world, but from God they had learned to properly love each other. Though complimented for loving in such a manner, they were urged to continue to do so even more.
John stated. . .
“(19) We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19 ESV)
True love has its origin with God, and as we have received it, we are to then spread it in this world. May we so love as we have been loved to the greatest degree (John 3:16) by the Greatest Lover!
