Story telling is a cherished part of some cultures; keeping the memory of the cultural history alive from generation to generation. However, there is story telling that is not good; that which is the telling of something other than the truth.
In Paul’s letter to Titus, in noting some leading others away from the truth in Christ (Titus 1:10-14), he went on to state. . .
“(16) They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.” (Titus 1:16 ESV)
Though there was verbal profession, their life actions were telling a different story. What story is our life telling? If we verbally profess to believe in God and yet live after our own desires, our actions will ultimately tell on us. Therefore, may we remain mindful of the consistency in our life so that the truth of God will be the story being told as we live through the day-to-day in view of those around us!
Have a great day LIVING BELIEVABLY BEFORE OTHERS TO GOD’S GLORY!
