I have lived long enough to have learned many things. Among the things I have learned is there are some things I cannot do and so I appreciate those who can. I have also learned I can’t do everything I might want to do because of limited time, resources, or other factors beyond my control. However, what I have learned is that when my confidence and trust have been properly placed, I have been enabled to make it through regardless of the circumstances or situations encountered on life’s pathway. I have even learned that in challenging circumstances I created for myself, I have been sustained and brought through by the good God is able to bring about. (note Romans 8:28)
This is a perspective of life in the context of which Paul had learned as he stated. . .
“(12) I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. (13) I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:12-13 ESV)
Through all the ups and downs and the changing circumstances of life, may I continue learning it is the Lord I can always turn to for the strength and confidence He supplies to bring me through it all. It is not about me being enabled to do everything but to be safely drawn through everything as the strength to do so is found in the One Who empowers me. I thank God for His sustaining power continuing to draw me toward the best still yet to come!
