Yesterday we noted the tender heart toward God; being touched and responsive to His Will. Today let us consider that same heart toward one another.
In his letter to Christians at Ephesus, Paul urged. . .
“ (32) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32 ESV)
Peter echoed that urging where we read. . .
“ (8) Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” (1 Peter 3:8 ESV)
The Greek “eusplanchnos” literally points to being “of good heartedness” [W.E. Vine] Are we maintaining a good heart? Understanding to duly love God means we are to love one another (1 John 4:20-21), does it not also follow that with a tender heart toward God we ought to have one toward each other as well? A godly heart is a good heart. Therefore, as we retain a tender heart toward God — duly touched by and responsive to His Will — may we also remain tendered hearted toward one another!
Have a great day RETAINING A TENDER HEART TOWARD OTHERS!
