How’s your “A”? Is it a “BA” or a “CA”? If the “A” represents “attitude”, how is yours? Is it a “BA” (bad attitude) or is it a “CA” (Christ attitude)?
Writing to Christians at Philippi, Paul exhorted. . .
“(5) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5 NIV)
The English Standard Version reads. . .
“(5) Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,” (ESV)
Paul stated this after warning against being driven by selfish ambition or self-interest. Reading through the verses which follow, Paul noted how Christ took on the nature of a servant and, in humble submission to the Will of the Father, gave Himself for us. The sacrifice He made was done with our interest or need in mind; the salvation of our soul. This is all part of the picture of the Christ Attitude! Aren’t we glad He had it? Don’t we wish everybody shared such an attitude? Where I need to begin is with “me” and where you need to begin is with “you” to start taking on and modeling this beautiful attitude of servitude. This is the attitude that changes lives. This is the attitude that meets needs. And this is the attitude that glorifies God. May the “CA” (Christ Attitude) be ours!
Have a great day “A”iming to “B”e “C”hrist-like!
