I love the clear nights when I can look above and stand in awe of the stars going beyond what I can imagine. I look at the beauty of creation around me and stand in awe of what a wondrous work it all is. Then I consider even the human body and its complexity and know there is no way it merely came about by chance. Behind all of this is the hand of our Creator; the Author and Maker of all life which He created on purpose and for His purposes. In this is to be the reminder that as time goes on, God has not set His purposes aside, but still retains the ability to carry them out and bring them to complete fruition. (i.e. Romans 8:28; Philippians 1:6; 1 Thessalonians 5:24) Therefore, as I acknowledge my inability to focus on the entirety of God’s creation, I also accept the encouragement His hand continues to be at work in ways I do not always see.
Someone has said, “Those who leave everything in God’s hands will eventually see God’s hand in everything.” (from faithimg.com)
In Isaiah we read. . .
“(11) Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: “Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands? (12) I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. (13) I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways level; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward,” says the Lord of hosts.” (Isaiah 45:11-13 ESV)
As Israel was to look to God and the work of hope He would carry out, are we maintaining the same hope in God? In spite of where we may have placed ourselves by our own choices and despite what might be going on in the world around us, do we trust what He will bring as we place our life and hope in His hands? Though it may not be fully clear in the moment, have we not looked back on previous circumstances or situations in life where we now see God’s hand was at work to bring us through in ways better than what we might have imagined? Let that encourage us as we continue to press onward in our continuing life’s journey as we trust the power of the Creator to continue to work on our behalf to ultimately bring us to the eternity of Heaven. He will do it!
Have a great day WITH A FAITH NURTURED TO SEE THE WORKING OF GOD’S HAND!
