Someone has said, “Your ego is not your amigo.” Oh, how easy it is for ego to get in the way. Sometimes we ourselves can be our own worst enemy. We deceive ourselves when we begin to think we are something when we are not (Galatians 6:3) or begin thinking of ourselves more highly than we ought. (Romans 12:3) As we all have something to offer, we can also all benefit from one another. We all have our strengths and weakness and are in the same need of God’s grace. Like Paul, if we are going to make any boast, may it be in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 6:14) by which we have been drawn from the world to being saved through Him. Without Him we would remain lost.
Peter urged. . .
“(6) Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, (7) casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV)
Let us maintain a proper perspective of ourselves and one another, not thinking we have anything to prove except to Whom we belong and to Whom we are eternally thankful; Jesus Christ our Lord, Master, and Savior. He is our truest friend (amigo) as He always has our utmost best in mind. May we continue to humbly surrender to allowing God to do the exalting in His time and in His way!
Have a great day EXPERIENCING THE WORTH OF LIFE LIVED FOR HIM!
