There are songs couples may hear and say, “They’re playing our song.” Such could be a song heard on a first date, one which initially drew their focus together, or one reflecting the truth of the love they share.
One of the psalmists stated. . .
“(54) Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.” (Psalm 119:54 ESV)
The New Living Translation reads. . .
“(54) Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived.”
God’s Word — the theme of our life! God’s Word — the theme of our hope! God’s Word — the theme of our peace! God’s Word — the theme of the ages reaching into eternity!
Is that the theme song that travels with us? Is that the theme song compelling our life onward? Do we have the song of God — His teachings — running continually through our mind as the theme for living? Wherever we might be is that remaining the foundation for our actions and words?
It has been noted that one might be judged by the songs they listen to or choose to sing. Continually bearing in mind the Word of God and putting it into practice needs to be foundational for our life to have stability to weather life’s stormy moments (i.e. Matthew 7:24-25) and keep us standing strong in the faith. Therefore, may the thematic influence in our life remain God’s abiding Word!
Have a great day LIVING GOD’S SONG VERSE BY VERSE!
Carl
